how do I write a good maid of honor speech?

I’m don’t good at writing speechs and now I’m the maid of honor for my best friends wedding and I don’t know where to start or what to write. I’m stuck!
Here are a few Wedding Toast ideas that may be helpful to you when writing your speech:
1) Stories of what the bride used to share with you about the groom when she first met him.
2) Funny story while growing up
3)How you and the bride met and how long you both have known each other
4) Most "appropriately" embarrassing moment you shared with the bride
5) How beautiful the bride and groom look together
6) Talk about a funny habit of the bride that the groom will have to live with 
7) A spiritual statement (if the bride and groom are spiritual people)
Words of advice to both the bride and groom
9) Wishes you have for the newlyweds (e.g., success, happiness, many babies)

I have looked all over the internet for ideas, they all seem to be just sentimental and not funny…I need FUNNY things to say, and am lost of funny stories, does anyone know funny appropriate jokes to use in a speech in front of 100 people?!
I like the answer about the jeans because that’s really cute
If the bride doesn’t like jeans though, just change it to shoes, or a hair style, or whatever she does like!

I think you should definitely put a story or two into the speech to make it personal and not out of the ‘funny things to say’ book haha.
Once you start writing it, I’m sure creative ideas will start pouring out and the only thing you’ll have to worry about is not making it too long

I am a maid of honor at my brothers weeding and I don’t know what to write does anybody have a good idea or a good web site to go to.
I find that being very open and gushy with the compliments are welcome. Make them blush just a tad bit. A funny memory of your Brother of something will do nicely too.
I’ll give you a bit of an example. Last night I was talking to my future sis in law. She’s dating my brother and will be getting married in a couple of years (military thing). We all like her very much, and while she’s waiting for him to come home she hangs out with my mom and then with me alot.
I was talking to her last night about the girls my brother saw before her and how she was different. In his case the other girls he dated were all just, for… convenience? What I mean is, without true emotion. They were just there to keep him company. I was telling her how we saw a difference right away in what he felt with her. She was "home" rather then just a "cold house". She was "warm bread" and a "lover" instead of just a party buddy. She was "best friend" material and not just a person to keep him company on the weekend. We all saw that the moment he started to show an interest in her.
Melted her heart right there. And we were just chatting on messenger.
As I was telling her all this I thought to myself, "this is a speech right here". LOL maybe you can use the theme to customize your own.

My best friend is getting married in may and i am the matron of honor and need to see some examples of maid of honor speeches. I know what i want to say i just dont know how to word it and stuff like that so i thought if i could see some examples maybe it would help me
Renee, being the matron of Honor IS an honor. You were chosen because the bride thinks highly of you. Your speech should be from the heart.
Anyone can give a canned speech, but placing sincerity in a speech is different.
Here are a few questions you can incorporate into a speech. What is it about this friend that you cherish? Why will she make Jom Bob a great wife? What are some of her attributes? Accomplishments?
Something like this maybe: "I’ve known Linda for many years (insert # of years). She has grown into a wonderful young woman. She has worked hard to get where she is today (insert schooling, job, etc.) Linda is always such a kind giving person and will make Greg a wonderful wife because she is so giving and loving. Linda, I am so honored and proud you chose me as your matron of honor. I wish you and Greg all the happiness life can offer in a long and peaceful marriage. Salute."
Remember the best man and parents will all have a speech too. Keep it short, simple, but SINCERE.

So here’s the situation.
I met my best friend via craigslist. She is engaged now and asked me to be her maid of honor. At her wedding we will have known each other for about a year in a half. She doesn’t want anyone to know how we met. So how do I cover that in the speech? And hints on speech writing.
This is tough!
You can talk about how some things are a twist of fate and how life leads you in unanticipated directions that no one could predict.
Don’t spend too much time talking about how you met. The best speeches talk about the bride and groom and how you wish them happiness and eternal love. I think in the best speech I made I talked about how it was wonderful to see the bride and groom fall in love. Make it simple and directed towards them.
