My fiance and I are both Catholics. We have set the date, going to marriage preperation classes, talking to our priest, doing all the arrangements for our wedding. We had a rocky relationship when we first started dating. I changed to be a better person, he was abit passive agressive & controlling. Now he’s changed because I changed. But he’s always been sweet, kind, loving, encouraging and very helpful to alot of people (especially the elderly). My sis things he is very shrewd, cunning & dishonest. My fiance is a joker & she doesn’t understand his jokes & takes it personaly. When I had problems with him talked to her about him. He talked to his parents, friend & co-workers too. They confused the heck out of him & he didn’t know if he wanted to marry me. My sis & friend didn’t want me to marry him either. I didn’t want to tell her things anymore but yesterday I talked to her again.My sis is my maid of honor. She told me she doesn’t like him at all.He doesn’t like her either. I am sad
Forget about what your sister thinks, she’s not the one marring him. If she feels that she cannot stand up for you because she cannot get past her feelings about him then ask her if she would rather be a Bridesmaid or if she even wants to be in the Ceremony, and choose another maid of honor. Don’t get so hung up on your attendants, it’s about the two of you…..you can have 2 wittnesses, no matter who they are. I would tell her to keep her feelings to herself and also inform her that this is not what being a Christian is about. Give him a chance, unfortunately not everyone gets along. Don’t worry yourself about what she thinks….unless you ask her for her opinion she should keep it to herself. Congratulations and Best Wishes to You and Your Fiance’.

It would have to be at my cousin’s wedding. Her MOH was her friend since birth.

It was so touching everyone (even the men!) were crying.
I’ve never been a maid of honor before so I’m not quite sure what I’m doing. haha, but a girl, recently asked me to be her MOH… We’ve known each other through work/school for only a couple of years, but just recently became pretty good friends. Everything I’ve read about MOH speeches are for a sister, best friend, and/or a life long friend. I think very highly of her and her groom to be and I want my speech to be special and meaningful.
I thought about maybe starting with a poem or quote…. I don’t know my mind is in a million places at once right now. Anything would be helpful 
Alright, well let’s think this out. Before, try to talk to some people who know her most, find out more about her. You can speak about how greatful you are for being chosen of such a great honor, and how you’ve liked knowing her. And I suggest looking on a site like http://www.boardofwisdom.com, they have all KINDS of awesome quotes. You’ll be just fine. Just be calm, and yourself and put enough feeling that people see you cared to put in some effort. Good luck!

So I am 14, and my dad is getting married in October. Because my dad has previously been married, I am the maid of honor and my brother is the best man. I know that most maid of honors make speeches, but I was wondering if I should? Also, does anyone have any ideas on what to write or how to write one?

Yes I think you should.
Make a joke about you knowing the bride for almost as long as the groom has.
Tell people how happy your dad has been since meeting her.
and that you look forward to all the shopping trips with your new step mom.
Wish both of them many years of happiness and joy. (Keep luck out of it)
Then turn to the bride and thanks her for asking you to be her maid of honor, and as such if she ever needs a friend she can always call on you. When you are done, say "now lets get this party started!"
I have only two candidates for my bridesmaids/maid of honor – my mother and my sister. I’m not sure who should be my maid of honor, or how to choose. Is it okay if I name them both as my maids of honor?
You can certainly choose both to be the maids of honor, and on the program list both.
But I’m telling you that in all the photos that you will have, only ONE will be in the maid of honor position. Only ONE will be at your immediate side when you’re at the altar.
Forever when people are looking at your wedding album, they will say, "Oh this is your Maid of Honor. What is her name?"
And forever you will have to correct them and say, "Both of these girls were my Maids of Honor."
Not all women would care about stuff like that, but some will be hurt by being in the "2nd" place position even though she has the title of Maid of Honor.
